Why? Because this gives you an opportunity to re-center your thoughts. Consistently losing focus and re-centering your thoughts trains you to control your own mind. It is exactly like lifting weights to build muscle, only, you are building your awareness.
Over time, this will translate into your everyday life and will help tremendously with controlling emotional outbursts, maintaining strong impulse control, and many other things that require strong focus and willpower. ♂️♀️
